The phrase ‘there are no right words’ is scribbled in my note book. I think it was something someone said when John Lennon died and it just stuck. There’s also a prayer in ‘Every Moment Holy Vol II’ entitled ‘When There Are No Words’ and it seemed an appropriate title for the album. 

The song is about the aching loss - when someone is close every part of your life is effected. There are so many good memories, but each one now has a dark side, reminding you that their story here has ended.

I was also struck by the quote (I cannot track down who originally said it!) ‘grief is love with nowhere to go’. It is so true. True love is about others and is poured out towards others. When they are gone, where does that love go?

It’s also a song about determination - determination to live on.
