Sometimes a strange thing happens when someone is bereaved - others around them avoid talking about the person they have lost for fear of upsetting them. But for most people this is the last thing they want. Talking about those we’ve lost will bring tears. There will be awkward moments of not knowing what to say. But that’s ok.

I wanted to write a song that invites people to talk about those who have died. To sit in that awkward space, to laugh, to cry and to know they may have memories to share that add to the story.
